World No. 1 Jason Day Betting Favorite to Win FedEx Cup Playoffs

Stars Kick Off FedEx Cup Playoffs at The Barclays
The biggest names in golf head to Bethpage to kick off the FedEx Cup playoffs, including The Barclays defending champ, Jason Day.

The 10th installment of the FedEx Cup playoffs kicks off at The Barclays on Thursday, and the No. 1 player in the world is the favorite to capture the cup and the $10 million bonus that comes with it.

Australian Jason Day is the betting favorite to win the end-of-the-season playoff race at 7/2, according to GolfOdds.com, giving him a slight edge over U.S. Open champion Dustin Johnson (5/1) and Champion Golfer of the Year Henrik Stenson (7/1).

Defending FedEx Cup champ Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy are both 10/1.

If Day can rally to win the FedEx Cup, it will be just the fourth time the top-ranked player to begin the playoffs won the cup. Tiger Woods did it twice, and Spieth did it last year.
