David Feherty Quiet About Post-CBS Plans at Symetra Tour Event

Report: David Feherty, CBS Part Ways
According to reports, David Feherty and CBS Sports have parted ways after 19 years of broadcasting coverage together.

Mum's the word when it comes to what's next for David Feherty.

That's what the Argus Leader, a local paper in Sioux Falls, S.D., found out when they interviewed the former CBS Sports commentator at a Symetra Tour event on Thursday.

Feherty was in town to attend the GreatLIFE Challenge and host a live-version of his show, Feherty.

The inevitable question came a ways into a Q&A with the Northern Irishman known for his wit and irreverence. Reporter David Nicholson asked Feherty about what sort of voice Feherty would like to have in the broadcast world moving forward.

"I’m just happy to be a voice," Feherty replied. "I can’t really talk about that at this point."

That's as far as that topic went. Few details have come out as to why Feherty and CBS entered their partnership since reports of the split broke Tuesday.

A five-time European Tour champion, Feherty worked as an inside-the-ropes commentator with CBS Sports for 19 years.
