Barack Obama laughed off Michael Jordan's comments about his "sh---y" golf game.

According to The Hill, the commander-in-chief, who's believed to be around a 17 handicap, told WJMR in Wisconsin that he thinks Jordan "might've just been trying to give [television host] Ahmad [Rashad] an extra ratings boost on his show."

"But there is no doubt that Michael is a better golfer than I am," Obama added. "Of course if I was playing twice a day for the last 15 years, then that might not be the case."

Obama did manage to take a light jab at the 6-time NBA champion turned franchise owner, whose (recently renamed) Charlotte Hornets have never won a conference title and are off to a 1-3 start in the young 2014-15 season.

"He might want to spend more time thinking about the Bobcats -- or the Hornets," Obama said.

In an interview with Rashad last week, Jordan was asked if he would include Obama in his dream foursome.

“I’ve never played with Obama, but I would,” Jordan said, before reconsidering. “But no, that’s OK, I’d take him out. He’s a hack and I’d be all day playing with him … I never said he wasn’t a great politician, I’m just saying he’s a sh---y golfer.”
