Arnold Palmer Sends Mark Rolfing Heartwarming Message

NBC's Mark Rolfing Diagnosed with Rare Cancer
NBC and Golf Channel commentator Mark Rolfing has announced a temporary leave while he undergoes cancer treatment.

While Mark Rolfing begins his battle with salivary gland cancer, much of the golf world has reached out with support. One gesture that stood out from the rest? A note from Arnold Palmer.

After announcing earlier this month he would be taking a break from his work with NBC Sports Group, Rolfing received a letter from Arnold Palmer in the mail. Naturally, as he told Ed Sherman on his radio show, a personal note from the seven-time major winner was deeply meaningful.

“I opened it an there were tears streaming down my face,” Rolfing said to Sherman. “It made me realize how lucky I am and what the game has done for me. A letter from Arnold Palmer in regular mail. It was typical Arnold. I’ve had a lot of support, but that one stands out.”
