From the native rough area on the right side of the fairway on No. 14, Perry hit a big, sweeping draw that hit the front of the green and ran directly into the cup like a putt. There have been 14 eagles on the week, and Perry's is the lone eagle on the 14th.
"I hit a poor 5-wood off the tee, but the 4-hybrid came out perfect," Perry said. "That's the longest shot I've made in my life."
On a day where Pinehurst No. 2 was playing extremely difficult, Perry's eagle is the highlight of the day and the tournament so far.@si_golf on Twitter, like us on Facebook, and subscribe to our YouTube video channel.
