The "Duel at Jinsha Lake is not your average Monday match amongst friends. When Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy face off Monday in China, they'll be playing for much more than your $5 Nassau. (In fact, it'll cost you $5 just to watch.)
The friends part, though -- that's familiar. So, between the money and the company, no wonder Rory McIlory hopes these "duels" become regular games.
McIlroy said as much on Thursday, speaking to Bernie Mcguire of the Daily Record:
“I’ve spoken to Tiger about it and we are both excited as it will be the first time we have ever done something like this together. Hopefully it’s the first of a few such occasions.you can watch the proceedings yourself at golf.com.au
“I see it also as a good marketing exercise for Tiger and myself. We both enjoy each other’s company. There are not many guys I would do something like this with and I know he feels the same, so it should work well.”
