VIDEO: G-Mac's bid for BBC Sports Personality of the Year

By anyone's standards, Graeme McDowell has had a phenomenal 2010. He won the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach, becoming the first European in 40 years to take home the trophy, he clinched the Ryder Cup for the Europeans on home turf, he captured two European Tour wins, and, most recently, he took down Tiger with two clutch 20-footers at Tiger's own tournament.
For his incredible play, McDowell was named co-winner of the European Tour Golfer of the Year, sharing the trophy with German phenom Martin Kaymer.
Now, G-Mac has been nominated for the BBC's prestigious Sports Personality of the Year award. The award, which will be announced on the BBC on December 19, has been around since 1954, and only two golfers have claimed it for their own: Welshman Dai Rees (who?) in 1957, and England's own Nick Faldo in 1989.
G-Mac is one of 10 nominated for this year's honor, and in a bid to convince the public to vote for him McDowell teamed up with Ryder Cup teammates Ian Poulter and Rory McIlroy to create the following video. Enjoy.
