Police were called to the Pinehurst Resort, site of the 2014 U.S. Open, when an exotic dancer woke up in a hotel room at the resort with no recollection of how she got there, according to The Pilot newspaper in Southern Pines, N.C.
After an investigation into an incident at the Carolina Hotel this morning, Pinehurst police say no charges will be filed.The woman, a dancer at Pure Gold, who woke up disoriented at the hotel and the two Charlotte businessmen who registered the room were all interviewed by police, according to Capt. Floyd Thomas of the Pinehurst Police Department.He said it appeared the woman went to the hotel on her own and that she made no allegations of sexual assault.The Pinehurst No. 2 course hosted the U.S. Open in 1999 and 2005. It is ranked 11th on Golf Magazine's list of the Top 100 Courses in the U.S.
