Tour caddie robbed, wife assaulted in home invasion

According to
news reports, Tour caddie Greg Rita's wife was assaulted and his family
lost thousands of dollars of personal property in a terrifying home
invasion on New Year's Eve.Jacksonville's FirstCoastNews.com said that three men broke into Rita's Jacksonville-area home through an open garage door at 6 a.m. on Dec. 31.Police said Rita's wife woke up to three people "standing at the
foot of her bed." One of the suspects was armed and hit her with the
butt of a gun, the report said.
The suspects took Rita's wife to the living room and left her
husband, who is battling brain cancer, in their bedroom, according to
the report.
The couple's 4-year-old son was in another room and remained asleep throughout the ordeal.  Police
later arrested three men at a nearby apartment where they found
televisions and jewelry that matched descriptions of items taken from
the Rita home.
Rita has caddied for Scott Hoch, Curtis Strange, John Daly, Mark O'Meara and David Duval.
