It's hard for a regular-guy golfer like Sean O'Hair to get noticed on a
day when Henrik Stenson strips to his boxer-briefs and Tiger Woods returns to a real PGA Tour event (sorry Match-Play Championship), but you can't say O'Hair didn't try. The pride
of West Chester, Pa., started his round at Doral's Blue Monster
course eagle-eagle on Thursday. Yup, eagle-eagle. Playing partner Paul Casey
had never seen anything like it.
"I think I was in a bit of a daze after seeing Sean O'Hair start with
two eagles," Casey said afterward. "That was the most amazing start to a round I've ever seen.
It was quality shots as well -- great shots into the first and a superb
pitch on the second."
26, finished with a 67, two shots off the lead. Keep an eye on him during what should be a wild weekend in Miami. The two-time Tour winner
has the skills to be one of the game's best, and with all the
attention on Phil, Tiger, Padraig, Camilo, Sergio and now Stenson,
quiet O'Hair could be a factor come Sunday.
