By Alan ShipnuckSenior writer, Sports Illustrated The first thing I'll be watching are the waves here on the North Shore. My rental house has killer views of Sunset Beach and the sets have been epic.
During the first round of the SBS Open I will also be keeping a close eye on LPGA sophomore Anna Grzebien, a saucy redhead who is my new favorite player. She tees off at 1:30 local time.
But like everyone else, what I will really be watching is Michelle Wie, who makes her debut as an LPGA member at 1:10. It's hard to believe given that she's only 19 but Wie is now entering the third act of her topsy-turvy career.
She went from a pre-teen phenom to an injury-riddled enigma. Now, after years of entitlement, she has earned her place on tour and the achievement seems to have given her a new confidence and peace of mind. It was a lifetime ago -- 2005 to be precise -- when she finished second here at Turtle Bay. I wouldn't be surprised if does at least that well this week.
