Jerry Seinfeld performed a standup routine on golf –- how dads use golf to avoid their families and why people whisper around golfers -- on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” on Tuesday.
Seinfield begins with deciphering the meaning of the work “golf”: “Golf is the ultimate avoidance activity for the dysfunctional dad. A game so nonsensically difficult, so pointless, so irrationally time consuming, the word golf itself can only stand for ‘get out, leave family.’”
Starts at the 2:35 mark in this video clip: Of course, any golf comedy routine has a tough act to follow. Here are two of our favorites: Robin Williams (NSFW, language): Jackie Gleason and Art Carney: Thanks to Jimmy Trania's Hot Clicks on SI.com for spotting the Seinfeld clip.
