Despite being born without functional arms, Butch Lumpkin's motto is that "nothing's beyond reach."
According to his Web site, Lumpkin is one of approximately 5,000 people living today with side effects of Thalidomide, a morning sickness medication that was popular in the 50's and 60's. Born with three fingers that extend from his left side and an arm that stops above the elbow on the right, he has never allowed his physical disability to limit his achievement.
As Butch told Golf Channel, a back injury kept the former tennis pro off the courts and reignited his passion for golf.
