After catching his hand in a hotel door Friday morning, Graeme McDowell played through pain to post a three-over 75 at the WGC-HSBC Champions.
McDowell's manager, Conor Ridge, confirmed that McDowell bruised his hand when he shut it in a door before the second round in Shenzhen, China. Ridge told Golf Channel that he thought McDowell would continue to play this tournament, and the other events he has scheduled for 2012.
"He's not going to want to miss any of them," Ridge noted. "He won't want to miss the last two rounds here, let's be honest. Hopefully he's OK, but knowing him he'd have to be pretty bad not to play."
Busted up my hand a bit last night.. Had an argument with a door. Nothing broken. Just bruised and swollen. I should be okay for 2moro#HSBC - Graeme McDowell (@Graeme_McDowell) November 2, 2012
