Mystery at Carnoustie

We all know Vijay Singh is going to win the FedEx Cup, but golf fans who appreciate mysteries should turn their attention to a real whodunnit at one of the world’s most famous courses.
Greenskeepers at Carnoustie Golf Club in Scotland made a gruesome discovery Wednesday morning: a burning body on the 11th tee of the Buddon course -- not the club's more well-known Championship course which hosted the British Open in 2007. According to the BBC, the victim was Robert Higgins, 51, and his death was being treated as suspicious. No kidding.
Police say Higgins was drinking at the Craw’s Nest bar in Carnoustie at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night and was last seen walking down a pathway to the railway crossing near midnight. Earlier in the day, Higgins was in the Village of Rait, about a 45-minute drive from Carnoustie. Police want to know how Higgins got to Carnoustie and what he did in the two hours between when he was last seen in Rait and when he was first seen at the Carnoustie bar.
I don’t know about you, but I’ll be following this story more closely than the Tour Championship.
