Brandt Snedeker, who made the cut on the number and was tied for 65th place through 36 holes, was the biggest mover early Saturday, shooting a three-under-par 68. After making bogey on the first hole, he birdied the third, fifth, sixth and 10th, and he eagled the par-5 13th. He also had bogeys on the seventh and 15th holes.

He moved to four over for the tournament and into the top 25 on the leaderboard as of 2:30 p.m. local time.

After his tie for third place at this year's Masters, he is developing a reputation as a solid major-championship contender. He also seems to like Torrey Pines. He shot at 62 on the North Course here in 2007.
