As someone who has taken a bushel of golf lessons through the years, I have always been struck by the player who is on more teachers' video screens than anyone else. Tiger Woods? Nope, try Davis Love III.
At some point, Love's swing will appear on the video, and the teacher will scrawl the correct angles of a backswing and downswing, and Love's club will travel up and down the line like it's glued to it. Love's beautiful move and golfing pedigree have led some to wonder why he hasn't won more (one major, 19 PGA Tour titles). At 44, after going through qualifying, he is in the mix at another major. Gene Wang of the Washington Post penned an interesting piece on the tour veteran who enters the weekend two shots off the lead.
