U.S. wins 2009 Presidents Cup

The United States team with wives and Michael Jordan, who was on hand this week as an honorary captain. The U.S. defeated the International team, 19 1/2-14 1/2, to improve to 6-1-1 in the Presidents Cup.

U.S. captain Fred Couples made all the right moves this week, taking different approaches with his two red-hot stars, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson. Woods was paired with Steve Stricker for every match, and they were unbeaten; Mickelson had three different partners and went 3-0-1 in foursome and four-ball matches.

Tiger Woods was a perfect 5-0 for the week, and his victory in Sunday's singles match against Y.E. Yang secured the winning point for the Americans.
