Holmes, who won the FBR Championship in a playoff against Mickelson, is a native of Kentucky who was an All-American at the University of Kentucky. His length off the tee could make him formidable in match play. His performance in the final round of the PGA Championship was disappointing, but don't be surprised if Azinger gives him a shot and pairs him with Kenny Perry to give the home crowd something to cheer about.
