Tiger Woods was asked by Stanford coach David Shaw to serve as an honorary captain Monday night at the Fiesta Bowl.

Woods, who played golf at Stanford for two years before turning professional, said on his website last month that he and coach Shaw were former classmates. "It's neat to be able to come back and help him any way that I can," he said.

One person who was happy with the outcome was Rickie Fowler, who tweeted after the game, "Victory is sweet...what a game...my boys hung in there and found a way to win...the gifts helped though...a win is a win!!"
