After an injury-plagued season, Immelman was not the same player who won the 2006 Western Open. Paired with the free-swinging Rory Sabbatini all week, he needed to be Mr. Steady, but he couldn't hit enough fairways and greens. The duo was defeated three times and blew a 2-up lead through 15 holes in Friday's four-ball match to earn just a half point. A completely healthy Immelman, with more experience, may someday be a solid Presidents Cup player — but he's not there yet.
