He looked asleep during his foursome loss with Angel Cabrera on Thursday, and at times during Friday's four-ball win he looked like he was simply trying to stay out of Mike Weir's way. But as the competition wore on, Els improved, and he made five birdies in eight holes to come back against Lucas Glover on Sunday. That said, it would have been nice to see a little more fight from Els when he and Adam Scott lost to Jim Furyk and Tiger Woods in Saturday's foursome match, 4 and 3.
