"Jim Furyk is just such a steady player, and I think he's like nobody -- none of the players are intimidated to play with him," said U.S. team captain Jack Nicklaus when asked about Furyk. "They all enjoy playing with him because they know they can always count on him. He's always right there, and that's a comforting feeling for his partner because his record has been pretty good probably because of that."
