A Look Back at the First FedEx Cup Season

Padraig Harrington overcame a closing double bogey and held off Sergio Garcia in a four-hole playoff to become the first European to win a major since 1999. Harrington credited positive thinking for his win. "I just worked hard and drew on all my experiences of playing links golf and honestly convinced myself I was going to win," he said.
Harrington skipped the third round of the FedEx Cup playoffs but squeaked into the Tour Championship field as the 30th player. He ended the season ranked 29th in the standings.
