"I ended up missing a short birdie putt on 11 that kind of took a lot of momentum out of me because that would have given me a bit of a boost, got me to 1-under for the tournament," Mickelson said. "Unfortunately it didn't get any better from there."

"We're not excited about bogeying the last hole or whatnot or hitting it in the water on the playoff hole," Goydos said. "We're not excited about any of those things, but the reality of it is they happened and you need to learn and move on."

"I got beat. I played good golf. That doesn't mean you win," Goydos said. "There's no defense. I can't tackle the little guy. There's no knee-capping. You have to accept the guy beat me."

"The only thing this tells me is to keep working hard and to believe in myself, and when I do believe in myself, I think there's not a lot of guys out there that can beat me," Garcia said.

"It feels like the last three years I've been playing well. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to come around and win," Garcia said. "This week, I played so nicely. It felt like everything was so hard. I'm just thrilled the week is over and I managed to finish on top."

"I don't care who wins this tournament, the wind won. I think it's kicked everybody's butts," Briny Baird, who finished at one under par, said. "I think it's hard for people to understand that are watching outside how difficult the golf course is playing. Every aspect is playing -- to hit a fairway, to hit a green and to make a putt -- putting on these greens right now, they're so firm and so fast that it's unbelievable that someone right now is at 6-under par."
