Tagged the "best player never to win a major," and needing to fend off Greg Norman and Tom Lehman to shed the label, Corey Pavin blisters a 228-yard 4-wood into the 18th green at Shinnecock Hills in Southampton, N.Y. After nailing the low draw into a right-to-left breeze, Pavin chases the shot down the fairway and then celebrates as the ball not only finds the green, but ends up five feet away from the pin. No more label.
