WHAT WE DID

Four testers — handicaps: 11, 13, 14, 14 — hit dozens of balls with each one of the six test model 3-woods (15° to 16° loft). Hooked up to a
launch monitor, the testers hit clubs in varying order. Well-struck shots were recorded. We averaged the testers' totals.

WHAT WE LEARNED
• Trajectory: TaylorMade r7 Draw launches highest and spins the most, which leads to the highest overall ball flight.
• Distance: There's a 6 1/2 yard difference between longest and shortest. Tour Edge's CB2 combines medium launch with lowest spin to produce the longest carry.
