2. Steve Stricker
World rank: 8
Wins: 4
The biggest celebrity from Edgerton, Wis., enjoyed a solid 18-month stretch of terrific golf, culminating in his victory at Westchester during last year's inaugural FedEx Cup playoff. He's 40, and he's struggling this year, but he was hard to miss last year. He briefly had the lead when he made the turn Sunday at Oakmont in the U.S. Open, then had a disastrous back nine. He teed off in the final twosome Sunday at the British Open but quickly faded. Stricker has been in the mix in several majors over the years, and he's the highest-ranked American golfer after Woods, Mickelson and Furyk.
