A final-round 62 propelled 43-year-old Woody Austin into the winner's circle Sunday at the Stanford St. Jude Classic. Going long off the tee all week (he averaged 304.3 yards per drive) set up a lot of short approach shots for Austin, and the man from Derby, Kan., delivered. On shots from 125-150 yards out, Austin led the field with the shortest average leave distance, stopping his ball a scant 9-feet, 6-inches from the cup. The field's average was 23-feet, 10-inches.
