A Bright Spot for Scott
Adam Scott had a three-shot lead going into Sunday and a great chance to win his second PGA Tour event of the season, but he finished bogey-triple bogey-birdie-bogey-bogey-bogey and fell to seventh. However, as the young Australian heads to the brutal fairways of Oakmont Country Club, there is one thing that might raise his spirits he ranked first at the Stanford St. Jude Classic in Total Driving, the combination of average driving distance and percentage of fairways hit. That will be a key statistic at the U.S. Open.
