Consistency is paying off
Only two players who competed in both the Mercedes-Benz Championship and the Sony Open finished both events in the top 10. One was Steve Stricker, left, who was the runner-up at the Mercedes-Benz and finished tied for fourth this week. The other was Stephen Ames, who finished third at the Mercedes-Benz and tied for 10th at the Sony. Neither picked up a win, but Stricker earned $838,688 and Ames pocketed $523,571. Not bad for two weeks' worth of work in Hawaii.
