The longer the better for Mickelson
The sessions with Butch Harmon are certainly paying dividends for Phil Mickelson. By hitting more fairways he hit 10 of 14 on Sunday Mickelson is putting himself in position to score more birdies. For the week, Mickelson was 10 under on the par 5s (2nd for the week) and two under on the par 4s (tied for 5th).

5 Things You Didn't Know ... The Players
GOLF.com goes deep inside the numbers to reveal insights about the stars of the 2007 Players.
Mid-length putts are killing Garcia
Sergio Garcia has been one of the best ball-strikers on the PGA Tour for years, but putting woes continue to keep him from winning more often. At the Players, Garcia was a perfect 51 for 51 when putting from inside 4 feet, but 5 of 8 between 5 and 6 feet, and a lowly 1 for 4 between 6 and 7 feet. Had he dropped a few more mid-range putts, Garcia, who finished two shots behind Mickelson, could have won.

Ollie is still a wizard with a wedge
Jose Maria Olazabal has always been known for his touch, and Sunday at the TPC Sawgrass his wedge game was in high gear. Olazabal ranked No. 1 Sunday in average leave distance on shots hit from 125 yards and closer. The Spaniard's shots stopped an average of 4 feet, 1 inch from the hole.

O'Hair is a driving machine
Sean O'Hair got beat up by No. 17 at Sawgrass, going a combined five over for the week against the famous island green, but the 25-year-old blitzed the fairways better than anyone else. O'Hair ranked 14th in driving distance and T3 in fairways hit for the week, which combined to rank him No. 1 in total driving. Those results put him at No. 1 in total driving on the PGA Tour for the season.
