5 Things You Didn't Know: Honda Classic
5 of 5
5. PGA National by two over Mirasol
The Champion Course at PGA National Resort & Spa has pedigree; it hosted the Ryder Cup in 1983 (won by the United States) and the 1987 PGA Championship (won by Larry Nelson in a playoff over Lanny Wadkins). Interestingly, the scoring average at both Honda Classics held on the Champion Course has been 70.00 (even par). The scoring average during the 2006 Honda Classic, played at the nearby Country Club of Mirasol's Sunrise Course, was also even par (72).
