The headline writers of the New York Post do their most inspired work when a professional golfer gets in trouble.
During the Tiger Woods' scandals in late 2009, the Post put Woods on the cover a record 20-straight times, including the legendary cover line: "Tiger Admits: I'm A Cheetah". That's more consecutive front pages than the Post gave to the Sept. 11 attacks.
So when the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday that the FBI and SEC were investigating stock trades of Phil Mickelson, the chances of Mickelson appearing on Page 1 of the Post on Saturday were a surer thing than a stock tip from Warren Buffett. Here it is:
