MoreEAST LONDON, South Africa(AP) South African star Retief Goosen won the Sunshine Tour's Africa Open on Sunday, closing with a 7-under 65 for a one-stroke victory over Darren Clarke, Branden Grace, Michael Hoey and Darren Fichardt.
Goosen had a 21-under 267 total on the East London Golf Club course.
``This year, I feel I'm a little more prepared for the game than over the last couple of years,'' the two-time U.S. Open champion said. ``I have been working hard on my fitness and everything. I'm probably the fittest now that I've been in the last five years.''
Clarke finished with a 70, Grace shot a 65, Hoey had a 66 and Fichardt a 68.
