Adam Scott's play at the Mercedes Championship was middling at best, so how to explain the dashing Aussie's perma-grin?
No doubt it had a lot to do with his new squeeze, actress Kate Hudson, who spent the weekend with him at Kapalua. Last year Scott broke up with architecture student Marie Kojzar, his on-again, off-again girlfriend of seven years, and in a pre-tournament press conference at the Mercedes he intimated that the emotional fallout led to his disinterested play in the second-half of the season.
According to a source close to Scott, he and Hudson had been flirting electronically for a while but had never met until she journeyed to Kapalua.
After the final round Sunday, Scott said they are just friends.
