PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Florida (AP) — Brett Wetterich withdrew from this month's Accenture Match Play Championship because of a shoulder injury, benefiting Pat Perez.

Perez was the last to qualify for the 64-man Match Play when he finished 24th at the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am on Sunday. However, that rewarded him with a match against Tiger Woods.

Wetterich's withdrawal means Anthony Kim will face Woods in the first round instead. J.B. Holmes will play Phil Mickelson and Perez will play Steve Stricker.

But more changes are possible. No. 4-ranked Ernie Els, who had said he would not play, may have changed his mind, which would cause further matchup changes. The field for the Match Play, to be played from Feb. 20-24 in Tucson, will not be final until next Monday.
