Hot? Ochoa.
Not? Golf Channel.

Lorena Ochoa, Samsung World Championship, Round 4
Reed Saxon/AP
Lorena Ochoa won her seventh title of the year.

Hot

1. Lorena Ochoa. Nice to have her back where she belongs. Not only did Ochoa win for a career-best seventh time, she also beat back her most talented rival, Suzann Pettersen, in a tense final-round pairing. That's a solid Sunday at the office.
2. Ernie Els. Utilizing some serious home-field advantage — he lives at Wentworth and recently remodeled the course — Els played some great golf in winning the World Match Play. Now let's see if he can repeat the success at a tournament with more than 16 players.
3. Bernhard Langer. The ultimate driving machine from Germany destroyed the field in only his fourth Senior start. Is it me, or is he the most underrated player of his generation?
4. John Feinstein. This spring he published a book showcasing the retreads at the 2005 Q School — 2005! — and now one of these characters, George McNeil, is a surprise winner. That Feinstein is crazy like a fox.
5. Greg Nared. After less than a year in the spin cycle he escaped from his position as Michelle Wie's agent. Now he's looking for an easier job, like negotiating peace in the Middle East.

Not

1. Golf Channel. First it misplaced its 'The.' Now the Masters has dumped USA for a new Thursday-Friday cable provider, but it snubbed the so-called home of golf in favor of ESPN. Talk about a lost opportunity.
2. Charl Schwartzel. He was supposed to be the next young phenom, but Rory Mcllroy seems to have taken that role. He has top-5s in his last two Euro tour starts.
3. Impotent golf fans. After four years of endless ads featuring dewey-eyed geezers, Cialas has decided not to renew its marketing partnership with the PGA Tour. No doubt it was due to limp sales.
4. Taylor Made. After Long John's best round in years, a 63 in Vegas, he took the opportunity to blast one of his benefactors, claiming Taylor Made has been sending him the wrong ball. Maybe the company should put someone more stable on the payroll - like Britney Spears.
5. Every Fall Series event that's not the Fry's Electronics Open. Phil Mickelson tees it up this week in tribute to his ties to Scottsdale and the host course, Grayhawk. As for the other six Fall events, they have to make do with the George McNeils of the world.
