The O-Factor: A logical argument

There's more to the O-Factor — and more to its benefits — than meets the eye

1. The O-Factor works with fairway woods, irons and wedges
The power of the O-Factor is not limited to your driver — use it for every swing with every club. You'll be able to sweep fairway woods cleanly off the turf and produce clean, thin divots with your irons.

2. It shows that old-school moves still work
The O-Factor is rooted in proven techniques that have stood the test of time. The right-knee downswing drive helped golfers like Johnny Miller and Jack Nicklaus bag multiple majors. Making a full hip turn was an integral part of Bobby Jones' backswing. And no one hit the ball better with his right hip than Gary Player.

3. It proves the bump is bull
Fire any teacher who tells you to bump your hips to the left to start your downswing. If you look at any video of any high-level swing, the hips never bump from the top. Rather, they turn from the word go. The key is to turn them in the right direction (which is to the left and up).

4. A healthy knee and rejuvenated O-Factor will make Ernie Els a major champion again
