Hybrid to the Rescue: The Instant Power Drill

Your hybrid can help you pull off one of the coolest shots around: the power draw. You may have never hit a draw before, but the shorter shaft length and extra head weight of a hybrid make it easy. Aim your body down the right edge of the fairway and close the clubface until it points down the middle. Position the ball about one ball-width back of where you normally play it with your hybrid, then pull the trigger on your everyday swing. Make sure you make a full shoulder turn on your backswing — it'll set you up to approach the ball from inside the target line. Also, keep your left arm soft and, as you swing through impact, rotate it to the left. It's an easy way to make sure the face closes through contact.
