Future Ryder Cup Venues
While all eyes will be on Valhalla Golf Club this September, preparations are already being made for future Ryder Cups. Ironically, none of the future sites have ever hosted a Ryder Cup, but that doesn't mean they don't have pedigree. See where the competition will be played next.
2010: Celtic Manor Resort
Newport, Wales
There are three courses at this resort, which has been the site of the European Tour's Celtic Manor Wales Open since 2000. The Twenty Ten Course opened in July, 2007, and was built specifically to host to 2010 Ryder Cup. It is 7,493 yards long and was designed by European Golf Design. The Roman Road Course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and offers views of the Severn Estuary. And the par 69 Montgomerie Course was designed by Scottish Ryder Cup star Colin Montgomerie and plays to 6,371 yards.
