We tested: Strong 3 (13.5°), 3 (15°), 4 (16.5°), 5 (18°) and 7 (21°) in Exsar FS3 graphite shaft. Shaft length (3-wood): 42.75", graphite
Company line: "An ultra-thin titanium crown and high-tech precision stainless steel face and body create a low, deep CG for ideal trajectory and ease of launch. The face has variable thicknesses to generate high initial ball velocity for distance control."
Our Test Panel Says:
PROS: Steady performer on tee balls; not overly punishing on mis-hits; compact clubhead sets up square and easily glides through the turf; a smooth feel when you connect with it; more nimble around tough lies than some bulky counterparts; high ball flight; attractive color scheme with metallic-blue shaft and rich clubhead.
CONS: Doesn't distinguish itself in terms of directional forgiveness; shortest total distance of the fairway woods tested; testers would prefer some sort of alignment aid on the crown.
"Nice blend of responsive feel, clean look and effortless, high shots." Michael Kaye (11)
