A crescent-cut sole contour provides minimal bounce (4° to 5°) in the playing position for shots from tight lies and uphill, downhill and buried ones. There's as much as 18° bounce when you open the face, which comes in handy from thick rough or sand. More grooves closer together than traditional wedges, combined with a high center of gravity, generate additional spin and a boring flight.
