Extreme heat over the past month in the Atlanta area has damaged the bent grass on many of East Lake's greens. Here's a look at what the 30 players at this week's Tour Championship will have to deal with.
Early Wednesday morning, workers applied a green sandy mix to the putting surfaces where the grass has died. The goal is not to make grass grow in those spots, but to make the surface of the green level so putts roll evenly.
