Sabbatini's short game was sensational
Rory Sabbatini is building a reputation as one of the steadiest players on Tour. When his short game matches the quality of his ball striking, as it did at Colonial last week, he can win on any course. For the week, Sabbatini averaged a minuscule 3-foot 10-inch leave distance on shots from around the green (1st), 26.5 putts per round (T1), had no three putts and averaged just 1.667 putts per green in regulation (T4). Sabbatini also drained 58 of 59 putts from 8 feet and closer.
