ClubTest 2007: Fairway Woods
GOLF Magazine asked 40 golfers just like you to hit the newest fairway woods on the market. Here's what our ClubTesters had to say.

Cobra Speed LD
$200, steel; $225, graphite; cobragolf.com

Go to Equipment Finder profile to tell us what you think and see what other GOLF.com readers said about this club.

We tested: X/Pro: 3 (15°) in Fujikura Speeder Pro, LD/F: 3 (15.5°), 5 (18°), 7 (21°) in Aldila NV-F, LD/M Offset: 3 (15.5°), 5 (18°), 7 (21°) in Aldila NVS-M graphite shaft

Company line: "The deeper profile of the LD/F allows for a lower and further-back center of gravity (CG) and higher moment of inertia (MOI). Speed Pro has a traditional top-down profile with square-to-open alignment at address and neutral weighting."

Our Test Panel says: Catch it perfect and you're a stud; these are built for explosive Distance; quite forgiving and difficult to slice-poor swings get respectable results; less enamored with look and feel.

Excellent forgiveness. The offset model is great for those who slice!—Jim Esther, 20 Handicap
