Blade-style irons always have been the preferred tools for better players, who are willing to give up a little forgiveness for the feedback on their swings, incomparable feel on flushed shots and the capacity to work the ball at will. Companies like Titleist have built an entire brand around this niche. The firm's upgraded forgings — 695MB, a muscleback blade, and 695CB, a cavity-back blade — are certain to catch the eye of devoted blade runners.
Both models employ a new "Z-shaped" rear section that redirects 15 grams from the heel area to the toe. Shifting the club's center of gravity lower and closer to the center of the head improves feel, ball speed and launch conditions.

All of this occurs while maintaining the club's ability to maneuver shots. The 695CB has stronger lofts (2 degrees more) than the 695MB to help create lower ball flight for players who generate fast ball speeds and high launch angles.
