Resort, 18 holes, $125.00 - $80.00
This exquisite resort facility, located in Rocky Gap State Park, offers eighteen holes of challenging golf with its distinctly different front and back nines. This is the only Jack Nicklaus signature course in Maryland. The course is played around a 243-acre lake. Creeks and the lake affect seven holes. The front nine holes feature a parkland design, which is flat and open with some hills. The back nine is a mountain course with some dramatic elevation changes. The fairways are narrow throughout the layout, especially the back nine with its tree-lined fairways. Most of the fairways average twenty yards in width. Hole #16, a 370-yard, par 4, has a fairway with a narrow corridor of merely twelve yards. Like the fairways, the greens are very narrow in dimension. They feature interesting slopes and offer significant undulation. There is an abundance of double-tiered greens in the design. With its five sets of tees, this course offers a challenge for all levels of golf play.
