This well-maintained course is extremely challenging. Don't be fooled by its short yardage, every inch of it is played. The design is traditional in style with mature trees lining the fairways and large, undulating greens. There is an entertaining story about the signature hole featured on the scorecard. When the course was in its infancy a picture was taken of players, accompanied by a bear, walking down the fairway. Les Furber designed the back nine. A driving range opened in the spring of 1998. Three day advance tee bookings are accepted if you want to play after 1 PM. The course participates in a junior caddie program in the summer, it is advisable to call in advance if you want a caddie. Twilight discounts are available after 5 PM. There is a sundown discount available at 6:30 PM. Every tee, except the back tee, is rated for both men and ladies.
