The setting for this course is in the foothills of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The fairways are hilly, narrow, and tree lined. The greens are medium-sized and reasonably undulating. The signature hole is #8, a 354-yard, par 4, with a very narrow fairway and a water hazard 200 yards from the tee box. The green on this hole is uphill and multi-tiered. Water affects play on nine of the eighteen holes. The 6,308-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 74.9 and a slope of 131.
